Fruits acorn ovoid, 0.9-1.3 cm long, 0.7-1 cm in diameter; long stalk (to 4 cm long); enclosed 1/3 by obconic cup; cup 4-6 mm long, 6-10 mm wide, thin (less than 1 mm), silky inside, puberulent outside, with 5-6 concentric rings slightly denticulate ; scar 4-6 mm wide, convex; stylopodium persistent, puberulent; maturing in 2 years;
