Flowers 4 - 6 styles to 3 mm long;
Fruits acorn 3 cm high, 2 cm wide; very deep cupule with rim undulate, 6-8 densely yelllowish pubescent;

bark greyish brown fissured into square plates; twigs yellowish brown pubescent;
Hardiness zone, habitat not hardy; tropical forests;
