Flowers pistillate inflorescences 1.5 cm, with brown tomentose rachis, from March to April;
Fruits acorn 3-4.5 cm long, 2.5 cm wide; ovoid to cylindrical; silky at first, then glabrous ; apex rounded, base more or less convex; basal scar 1.5 cm in diameter; enclosed 1/2 or more by cup; cup campanulate, 2-3 cm high, 2-2.8 cm wide, tawny tomentose outside, silky inside, 1.6-3 mm thick, scales in 8-9 concentric rings with margin entire or denticulate; maturing in 2 years, in October-December;
