Fruits acorn 2 cm long, 1.5 cm wide; ellipsoid; singly or paired; velutinous at least near rounded apex; enclosed 1/3 or 1/2 by cup; cup pubescent both inside and outside, 1.6 cm long, 1.8 cm wide, very thin, with 7-8 concentric rings denticulate near base; scar 5 mm wide; stylopodium persistent; matures in 1 year;
